New England Schools Partner with FLAIR to Help Stay Accountable for Progressing Racial Equity

FLAIR is delighted to announce our partnership with nine schools in New England, who are all part of the Association of Independent Schools of New England (AISNE). These schools form FLAIR’s first cohort of independent school clients in the US and their partnership with FLAIR is a testament to each school’s commitment to racial equity.

For a period of at least three years, the schools will commit to an annual questionnaire focused on gathering the views and experiences related to racial equity of their students, staff and faculty. Based on the results of the questionnaire, each school will receive a dashboard to assess their key strengths and improvement areas, as well as a set of data-driven recommendations on initiatives they may want to implement.

The participating schools are:

Brooks School (MA)

Dana Hall School (MA)

Dedham Country Day School (MA)

Kents Hill School (ME)

The Park School (MA)

Rocky Hill Country Day School (RI)

St Mark’s School (MA)

The Sage School (MA)

Wellan Montessori School (MA)

Unfortunately, many independent schools felt that focusing funding and resources on general programs was the way to go, but as most schools have seen, very little progress has been made. Any school considering partnering with FLAIR, especially those who commit, will immediately have an advantage and not just knowing what's happening at their schools but what their actual capacity for change can be. DEI work is often about anecdotes and trying to win over hearts and minds. With FLAIR, we add authenticity and data to our toolbox.”
